حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا شَرِبَ فَلْيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us: Malik told us, from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Bakr ibn Ubaydullah, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'When one of you eats, let him eat with his right hand, and when he drinks, let him drink with his right hand, for indeed Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.'
