حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَقَبَضَ إِبْهَامَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ.
English Translation
Rawh told us, Zakariyya ibn Ishaq told us, 'Amr ibn Dinar told us, that he heard 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar say: I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "The month is thus, and thus, and thus," and he closed his thumb on the third time.
