English Translation
Waki' told us, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Yazid ibn Bishr, from Ibn 'Umar, who said: Islam is built upon five pillars: testifying that there is no god but God, establishing prayer, giving zakat, pilgrimage to the House, and fasting Ramadan. A man said to him, "And jihad in the way of God?" Ibn 'Umar said, "Jihad is good, but this is how the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, related it to us."
