حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَنَابٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ هَذِهِ السَّارِيَةِ وَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ جِذْعُ نَخْلَةٍ يَعْنِي يَخْطُبُ.
English Translation
Waki' narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us: Abu Janab narrated to us, from his father, from Ibn 'Umar, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to stand by this pillar — which in those days was a palm-trunk — meaning, to deliver the sermon.
