English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, who said: Ibn 'Umar witnessed the Conquest [of Makkah] when he was twenty years old, having with him a restive horse and a heavy spear. Ibn 'Umar went to gather fodder for his horse, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed 'Abdullah, indeed 'Abdullah [is dutiful]."
