حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ الْفَرَسِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالدَّارِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ إِنَّمَا نَحْفَظُهُ عَنْ سَالِمٍ يَعْنِي الشُّؤْمَ.
English Translation
Sufyan told us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Ill omen is in three things: the horse, the woman, and the dwelling." Sufyan said: We only memorize it from Salim, meaning the mention of ill omen.
