حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَنْصُورًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا سَمَرَ إِلَّا لِرَجُلَيْنِ أَوْ لِأَحَدِ رَجُلَيْنِ لِمُصَلٍّ وَلِمُسَافِرٍ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'ba told us, who said: I heard Mansur narrating from Khaythama ibn Abdul Rahman, from Abdullah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said, "There is no staying up at night except for two men," or "for one of two men: one who prays and one who travels."
