حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْ الْجُمُعَةِ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ أُحَرِّقَ عَلَى رِجَالٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْ الْجُمُعَةِ بُيُوتَهُمْ.
English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa told us: Zuhayr told us: Abu Ishaq told us, from Abu al-Ahwas — who heard it from him — from Abdullah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to some people who stayed away from Friday prayer, "I have been resolved to order a man to lead the people in prayer, then burn down the houses of men who stay away from the Friday prayer."
