حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ أَخَذْتُ مِنْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبْعِينَ سُورَةً لَا يُنَازِعُنِي فِيهَا أَحَدٌ.
English Translation
Yunus told us: Hammad — meaning ibn Salamah — told us, from Asim, from Zirr, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: "I took from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) seventy surahs, and no one disputes me concerning them."
