حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي حَدَّثَكَ عَمْرُو بْنُ مُجَمِّعٍ أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْهَجَرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدَكُمْ خَادِمُهُ بِطَعَامِهِ فَلْيُدْنِهِ فَلْيُقْعِدْهُ عَلَيْهِ أَوْ لِيُلْقِمْهُ فَإِنَّهُ وَلِيَ حَرَّهُ وَدُخَانَهُ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah laughs at two men: one of them kills the other and both enter Paradise. This one fights in the cause of Allah and is killed, then Allah turns to the killer (in mercy) and he accepts Islam, then he fights in the cause of Allah and is killed (as a martyr).'
