حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ قَتَلَ أَبَا جَهْلٍ فَقَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي نَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَأَعَزَّ دِينَهُ.
English Translation
A man sneezed near the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said 'Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah).' Then he sneezed again and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'This man has a cold.'
