حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ اسْتَبْطَنَ الْوَادِيَ وَاعْتَرَضَ الْجِمَارَ اعْتِرَاضًا وَجَعَلَ الْجَبَلَ فَوْقَ ظَهْرِهِ ثُمَّ رَمَى وَقَالَ هَذَا مَقَامُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ.
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud went to the interior of the valley and approached the Jamarat from the front, keeping the mountain behind his back. Then he stoned them and said: 'This is the standing place of the one upon whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed.'
