حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعُودُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا خُصَيْفٌ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَتَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صَدَقَةِ الْبَقَرِ إِذَا بَلَغَ الْبَقَرُ ثَلَاثِينَ فَفِيهَا تَبِيعٌ مِنْ الْبَقَرِ جَذَعٌ أَوْ جَذَعَةٌ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ أَرْبَعِينَ فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ أَرْبَعِينَ فَفِيهَا بَقَرَةٌ مُسِنَّةٌ فَإِذَا كَثُرَتْ الْبَقَرُ فَفِي كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ مِنْ الْبَقَرِ بَقَرَةٌ مُسِنَّةٌ.
English Translation
Affan told us, Mas'ud ibn Sa'd told us, Khusayf told us, from Abu Ubaydah, from his father, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wrote regarding the alms on cattle: 'When cattle reach thirty, then in them is a yearling calf, male or female, until they reach forty; when they reach forty, then in them is a mature cow; and when the cattle increase, then for every forty cattle, a mature cow.'"
