English Translation
Affan told us, Hammad ibn Salamah told us, Asim ibn Bahdalah informed us, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who said: "We were, on the day of Badr, three men to a camel each. Abu Lubabah and Ali ibn Abi Talib were the two companions sharing the mount of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him." He said: "And it was the Messenger of Allah's turn to ride." He said: "They both said: 'We will walk instead of you.' He said: 'You two are not stronger than I am, nor am I less in need of the reward than you two.'"
