حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَبَّلَهُ وَالْتَزَمَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَ حَفِيًّا يَعْنِي الْحَجَرَ.
English Translation
It was narrated from Suwaid bin Ghafalah that `Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) kissed it and touched it, then he said: I saw Abul-Qasim (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) show respect to you - meaning the Black Stone.
