حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي هُشَيْمٌ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ هِيَ سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي الْمُتْعَةَ وَلَكِنِّي أَخْشَى أَنْ يُعَرِّسُوا بِهِنَّ تَحْتَ الْأَرَاكِ ثُمَّ يَرُوحُوا بِهِنَّ حُجَّاجًا.
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Moosa that `Umar said: It was the Sunnah of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), i.e., tamattu` (in Hajj), but I am afraid that they will have intimate relations with them (their wives) beneath the Arak trees, then they will bring them for Hajj.
