حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَاعِزِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَحَقٌّ مَا بَلَغَنِي عَنْكَ أَنَّكَ وَقَعْتَ عَلَى جَارِيَةِ بَنِي فُلَانٍ قَالَ فَشَهِدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ قَالَ فَرَجَمَهُ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The one who looks after a widow and a poor person is like a warrior in the way of Allah.' And I think he said: 'Like one who prays without ceasing and fasts without breaking his fast.'
