حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ شَيْخٍ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ { الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ لَهُمْ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا } قَالَ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يَرَاهَا الْمُسْلِمُ أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ وَعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ فَذَكَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sulayman, from Dhakwan, from Ata' ibn Yasar, from an old man, from Abu al-Darda', that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about this verse: 'Those who believed and used to fear Allah. For them are glad tidings in the life of this world and in the Hereafter.' He said: "It is the righteous dream that a Muslim sees or that is seen for him." Sufyan ibn Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ibn al-Munkadir who heard it from Ata' ibn Yasar, and from Abd al-Aziz ibn Rufay', from Abu Salih, from Ata' ibn Yasar, from a man from the people of Egypt: "I asked Abu al-Darda'." He mentioned from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) something similar.
