حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ لَا تَخْتَصَّ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ بِقِيَامٍ دُونَ اللَّيَالِي وَلَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ بِصِيَامٍ دُونَ الْأَيَّامِ.
English Translation
Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Asim, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu al-Darda', who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Abu al-Darda', do not single out Friday night for standing in prayer to the exclusion of other nights, and do not single out Friday for fasting to the exclusion of other days."
