English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Habib, a man of the Ansar, from a freed slave woman of theirs called Layla, who narrated from my grandmother, and she is Umm Umarah bint Ka'b, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered upon her and she brought him food. He said to her: "Eat." She said: "I am fasting." He said: "Indeed, the angels send blessings upon the fasting person when food is eaten in their presence, until they finish."
