حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ حَدَّثَنِى أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْعَتَكِىُّ عَنْ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَتْ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ وَهِيَ صَائِمَةٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا أَصُمْتِ أَمْسِ قَالَتْ لَا قَالَ أَتُرِيدِينَ أَنْ تَصُومِي غَدًا قَالَتْ لَا قَالَ فَأَفْطِرِي.
English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, Abu Ayyub al-Ataki narrated to me, from Juwayriyah bint al-Harith, who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered upon her on a Friday while she was fasting. He said to her: "Did you fast yesterday?" She said: "No." He said: "Do you intend to fast tomorrow?" She said: "No." He said: "Then break your fast."
