English Translation
Abd al-Aziz ibn Abd al-Samad al-Ammi Abu Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Mansur narrated to us, from Mujahid, from a freed slave of Ibn al-Zubayr called Yusuf ibn al-Zubayr or al-Zubayr ibn Yusuf, from Ibn al-Zubayr, from Sawdah bint Zam'ah, who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "My father is an old man and cannot perform Hajj." He said: "Tell me, if your father had a debt and you paid it on his behalf, would it be accepted from you?" He said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Then Allah is more merciful. Perform Hajj on behalf of your father."
