English Translation
Umar ibn al-Khattab came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I am ruined!' He said: 'What has ruined you?' He said: 'I changed my position last night (during intimacy with my wife).' The Prophet did not say anything. Then Allah revealed to His Messenger the verse: 'Your wives are a tilth for you, so approach your tilth however you wish' (2:223) — come from the front or from behind, but avoid the anus and menstruation.
