حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ سَلْمَى بِنْتِ حَمْزَةَ أَنَّ مَوْلَاهَا مَاتَ وَتَرَكَ ابْنَةً فَوَرَّثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْنَتَهُ النِّصْفَ وَوَرَّثَ يَعْلَى النِّصْفَ وَكَانَ ابْنَ سَلْمَى.
English Translation
Abd al-Samad told us: Hammam told us: Qatadah told us, from Salma bint Hamzah: that her patron died and left a daughter, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the daughter half the inheritance and gave Ya'la the other half — and he was Salma's son.
