حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ حُدَيْجٍ يَقُولُ هَاجَرْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَبَيْنَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَهُ طَلَعَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ.
English Translation
Attab ibn Ziyad told us, he said: Abdullah told us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah told us, he said: al-Harith ibn Yazid told me, from Ali ibn Rabah, he said: I heard Mu'awiyah ibn Hudayj say: "We emigrated in the time of Abu Bakr; while we were with him, he ascended the pulpit."
