English Translation
Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us: al-Layth narrated to us: Sa'id - meaning al-Maqburi - narrated to me, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Bujayd, brother of Banu Harithah, that his grandmother, who was Umm Bujayd and was among those who gave the pledge of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, narrated to him: She said to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, "By Allah, the poor person stands at my door and I find nothing to give him." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to her, "If you find nothing to give him but a burnt hoof, then hand it to him."
