حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ وَأَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ آلِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ عَنِ الشِّفَاءِ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ الْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَحَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَوْ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ.
English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us: al-Mas'udi and Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Muqri informed us - he said, al-Mas'udi narrated to us - from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, from a man of the family of Abu Hathmah, from al-Shifa bint Abdullah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked which deeds are best. He said, "Faith in Allah, jihad in the path of Allah, and an accepted pilgrimage." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: or "an accepted pilgrimage."
