Waki' told us: al-A'mash told us, from Salim, from Kurayb, who said: Ibn 'Abbas told us, from his maternal aunt Maymunah, who said: "I prepared bath water for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he performed the ritual bath for major impurity. He tilted the vessel with his left hand over his right, and washed his hands three times. Then he put his hand into the vessel and poured water over his private parts, then rubbed his hand against the wall or the ground, then rinsed his mouth and nose three times, and washed his face three times and his forearms three times each, then poured water over his head three times, then poured water over the rest of his body, then moved aside and washed his feet."
