حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رِبْعِيُّ بْنُ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ سَاهِمُ الْوَجْهِ قَالَتْ فَحَسِبْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ وَجَعٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَاكَ سَاهِمَ الْوَجْهِ أَفَمِنْ وَجَعٍ فَقَالَ لَا وَلَكِنَّ الدَّنَانِيرَ السَّبْعَةَ الَّتِي أُتِينَا بِهَا أَمْسِ أَمْسَيْنَا وَلَمْ نُنْفِقْهَا نَسِيتُهَا فِي خُصْمِ الْفِرَاشِ.
English Translation
Husayn b. Ali told us, from Za'idah, from Abd al-Malik b. Umayr, who said: Rib'i b. Hirash told me, from Umm Salamah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon me with a gloomy face. She said: I supposed that was due to some pain, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I see you with a gloomy face - is it due to some pain?" He said: "No, but the seven dinars that were brought to us yesterday - we spent the evening without having given them out, I forgot them at the edge of the bedding."
