حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ قَالَ فَلَقِيتُ غُلَامَهَا نَافِعًا فَأَرْسَلْتُهُ إِلَيْهَا فَسَأَلَهَا قَالَ فَرَجَعَ إِلَيَّ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ إِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا وَيُصْبِحُ صَائِمًا قَالَ ثُمَّ بَعَثَنِي إِلَى عَائِشَةَ فَلَقِيتُ غُلَامَهَا ذَكْوَانَ فَأَرْسَلْتُهُ إِلَيْهَا فَرَجَعَ إِلَيَّ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ إِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ جِمَاعٍ غَيْرِ احْتِلَامٍ ثُمَّ يُصْبِحُ صَائِمًا قَالَ فَأَتَيْتُ مَرْوَانَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ أَقْسَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ لَتَأْتِيَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَلَتُخْبِرَنَّهُ بِهِ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ هُنَّ أَعْلَمُ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ لَقِيَ غُلَامَ عَائِشَةَ ذَكْوَانَ أَبَا عَمْرٍو وَقَالَ لَقِيتُ نَافِعًا غُلَامَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ.
English Translation
Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ja'far, who said: Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abd Rabbih, from Abu 'Iyad, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith ibn Hisham, that Marwan ibn al-Hakam sent him to Umm Salamah and A'ishah. He said: "So I met her servant Nafi' and sent him to her, and he asked her." He said: "So he returned to me and informed me that she said: 'The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to enter the morning in a state of major impurity, and he would enter the morning fasting.'" He said: "Then he sent me to A'ishah, and I met her servant Dhakwan and sent him to her, and he returned to me and informed me that she said: 'The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to enter the morning in a state of major impurity from intercourse, not a wet dream, then he would enter the morning fasting.'" He said: "So I went to Marwan and informed him, and he said, 'I adjure you, you must go to Abu Hurayrah and inform him of it.' So I went to him and informed him, and he said, 'They know best.'" [Also] narrated to us by Rawh: Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abd Rabbih, from Abu 'Iyad, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith ibn Hisham, that Marwan ibn al-Hakam sent him to Umm Salamah and A'ishah - and he mentioned its meaning, except that he said he then met A'ishah's servant Dhakwan, Abu 'Amr, and said, "I met Nafi', the servant of Umm Salamah."
