حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُعَدِّلِ عَطِيَّةَ الطُّفَاوِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَتْهُ قَالَتْ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِي يَوْمًا إِذْ قَالَتْ الْخَادِمُ إِنَّ عَلِيًّا وَفَاطِمَةَ بِالسُّدَّةِ قَالَتْ فَقَالَ لِي قُومِي فَتَنَحَّيْ لِي عَنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي قَالَتْ فَقُمْتُ فَتَنَحَّيْتُ فِي الْبَيْتِ قَرِيبًا فَدَخَلَ عَلِيٌّ وَفَاطِمَةُ وَمَعَهُمَا الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ وَهُمَا صَبِيَّانِ صَغِيرَانِ فَأَخَذَ الصَّبِيَّيْنِ فَوَضَعَهُمَا فِي حِجْرِهِ فَقَبَّلَهُمَا قَالَ وَاعْتَنَقَ عَلِيًّا بِإِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ وَفَاطِمَةَ بِالْيَدِ الْأُخْرَى فَقَبَّلَ فَاطِمَةَ وَقَبَّلَ عَلِيًّا فَأَغْدَفَ عَلَيْهِمْ خَمِيصَةً سَوْدَاءَ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ لَا إِلَى النَّارِ أَنَا وَأَهْلُ بَيْتِي قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ وَأَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ وَأَنْتِ.
English Translation
Muhammad b. Ja'far told us, he said 'Awf told us, from Abu al-Mu'addil 'Atiyyah al-Tufawi, from his father, that Umm Salamah told him: One day, while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in my house, the servant said, "'Ali and Fatimah are at the door." She said: He said to me, "Get up and step aside for me from the people of my house." She said: I got up and moved aside within the house, nearby. Then 'Ali and Fatimah came in, along with al-Hasan and al-Husayn, who were two small young boys. He took the two boys and placed them in his lap and kissed them. He said: He embraced 'Ali with one hand and Fatimah with the other, kissed Fatimah and kissed 'Ali, then draped over them a black cloak, and said, "O Allah, to You - not to the Fire - myself and the people of my house." She said: I said, "And I too, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "And you."
