حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَوْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ وَكِيعٌ شَكَّ هُوَ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِإِحْدَاهُمَا لَقَدْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ الْبَيْتَ مَلَكٌ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ عَلَيَّ قَبْلَهَا فَقَالَ لِي إِنَّ ابْنَكَ هَذَا حُسَيْنٌ مَقْتُولٌ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ أَرَيْتُكَ مِنْ تُرْبَةِ الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي يُقْتَلُ بِهَا قَالَ فَأَخْرَجَ تُرْبَةً حَمْرَاءَ.
English Translation
Waki' told us, he said 'Abdullah b. Sa'id told me, from his father, from 'A'ishah or Umm Salamah - Waki' said the doubt was from 'Abdullah b. Sa'id - that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to one of them: "An angel came in to my house who had never come in to me before, and he said to me, 'This son of yours, Husayn, will be killed; and if you wish, I will show you some of the soil of the land in which he will be killed.'" He said: He brought out red soil.
