حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ عَلَى أَبِي قَتَادَةَ وَهُوَ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ قَدْ قَتَلَهُ فَقَالَ دَعُوهُ وَسَلَبَهُ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) passed by Abu Qatadah while he was standing by a man he had killed. He said: 'Leave him and his spoils (they belong to Abu Qatadah).'
