حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِلْوَزَغِ فُوَيْسِقٌ قَالَتْ وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ.
English Translation
Ya'qub narrated to us: Abu Uways narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, who said: Urwa ibn al-Zubayr informed me that Aisha informed him that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, called the house-lizard a "little corrupt creature." She said: But I did not hear him command that it be killed.
