حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ وَحَدَّثَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ سُجِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ مَاتَ بِثَوْبٍ حِبَرَةٍ.
English Translation
Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to us, from Salih; and Ibn Shihab narrated that Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf informed him that Aisha, Mother of the Believers, said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was covered when he died with a striped Yemeni garment.
