English Translation
Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, he said: Hisham, that is Ibn Abi Abdullah, informed us, from Budayl, from Abdullah ibn Ubayd ibn Umayr: that a woman among them called Umm Kulthum told him, from Aisha: that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was eating food with six of his companions, when a hungry bedouin came and ate it in two mouthfuls. He said, "Indeed, had he mentioned the name of God, Mighty and Majestic, it would have sufficed you all. So when one of you eats, let him mention the name of God; and if he forgets to say 'In the name of God' at the beginning, let him say, 'In the name of God, at its beginning and its end.'"
