English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Muti' ibn Maymun al-Anbari, whose kunya was Abu Sa'id, narrated to us, he said: Safiyya bint Isma narrated to me, from Aisha, Mother of the Believers, who said: A woman stretched her hand out from behind the curtain holding a letter to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, withdrew his hand and said, "I do not know whether this is the hand of a man or the hand of a woman." She said, "Rather, a woman." He said, "If you were a woman, you would have changed the color of your nails with henna."
