English Translation
Abd al-Rahman told us, Jarir -- that is Ibn Hazim -- told me, from Harmala al-Misri, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Shimasa, from Aisha, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O Allah, whoever is given charge over any matter of my nation and is gentle with them, be gentle with him; and whoever is harsh with them, be harsh with him." Amir ibn Salih, of the descendants of Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, told us, he said Hisham ibn Urwa told me, from his father, from Aisha, from al-Harith ibn Hisham, that he asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, "How does the revelation come to you?" and he mentioned something similar to the hadith of Malik.
