حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ وَوَكِيعٌ عَنْ هِشَامٍ الْمَعْنَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا نَعَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلْيَرْقُدْ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ عَنْهُ النَّوْمُ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا صَلَّى وَهُوَ يَنْعَسُ لَعَلَّهُ يَذْهَبُ يَسْتَغْفِرُ فَيَسُبُّ نَفْسَهُ.
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us: Hisham and Waki' narrated to us, from Hisham - the meaning being the same - he said: My father informed me, from Aisha, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "If one of you becomes drowsy while praying, let him sleep until the drowsiness leaves him, for if he prays while drowsy, he may intend to seek forgiveness but instead curse himself."
