حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا كَهْمَسٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وَافَقْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ مَا أَقُولُ قَالَ تَقُولِينَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Kahmas told us, he said: Ibn Burayda told me, he said: Aishah said: "O Prophet of Allah, what do you think, if I should encounter the Night of Decree, what should I say?" He said: "Say: 'O Allah, You are Forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.'"
