English Translation
Hushaym told us, he said: Mughirah informed us, from Ibrahim, from Aishah, that she said: "When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered that group of enemies on the day of Badr, and they were thrown into the well, Utbah, Abu Jahl, and their companions, he stood over them and said: 'May Allah repay you with evil, as the people of a prophet! How evil was your rejection and how severe your denial!' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how can you speak to a people who have become corpses?' He said: 'You are no more able to hear my words than they are,' or 'they are more able to hear my words than you are.'"
