حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ قَالَ لَهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّمَا سُمِّيتِ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِتَسْعَدِي وَإِنَّهُ لَاسْمُكِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُولَدِي.
English Translation
Ibn Abbas said to her: 'You were named Mother of the Believers so that you might be happy, and indeed it was your name before you were born.'
