حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِلْوَزَغِ فُوَيْسِقٌ وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ أَمْرَ بِقَتْلِهِ.
English Translation
Hajjaj narrated to us: Layth narrated to us: Uqayl narrated to me, from Ibn Shihab, from Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, that Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, informed him that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, called the house-lizard a 'little sinner,' but I never heard him command that it be killed.
