English Translation
Yazid narrated to us: Sufyan - that is, Ibn Husayn - informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Urwah, from A'ishah, who said: "A sheep was given as a gift to Hafsah, while we were both fasting [voluntarily], and she broke my fast [by feeding me some] - being her father's daughter [i.e., impulsive]. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came in to us, we mentioned that to him, and he said: 'Both of you make up a day in its place.'"
