حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الطَّوَافُ وَالسَّعْيُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَرَمْيُ الْجِمَارِ لِإِقَامَةِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ubaydullah ibn Abi Ziyad, from al-Qasim, from A'ishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The circumambulation, the going between Safa and Marwah, and the stoning of the pillars were only instituted for establishing the remembrance of Allah, Mighty and Sublime."
