حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَرْقُدُ لَيْلًا وَلَا نَهَارًا فَيَسْتَيْقِظُ إِلَّا تَسَوَّكَ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Hammam told us: Ali ibn Zayd told us: Umm Muhammad told me, from Aisha, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, never slept by night or day and woke up without using the tooth-stick.
