حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَالِحٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ حُدِّثْتُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ إِنْ مَاتَ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ كَعَابِدِ وَثَنٍ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not wish for death, for the terror of what comes after it is severe. And it is from the blessing upon a person that his life is prolonged and Allah grants him repentance.'
