حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ وَأَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْ الْجَنَابَةِ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ.
English Translation
Husayn and Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri told us, both saying: Isra'il told us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Aswad ibn Yazid, from A'ishah, who said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform ghusl from sexual impurity, then go to the mosque with his head still dripping, while intending to fast that day."
