حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُفَضَّلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ نُبِّئْتُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُصَلِّي فِي شُعُرِنَا قَالَ بِشْرٌ هُوَ الثَّوْبُ الَّذِي يُلْبَسُ تَحْتَ الدِّثَارِ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Bishr, meaning ibn al-Mufaddal, told us: Salamah ibn Alqamah told us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, who said: I was informed that A'ishah said: the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would not pray in our shu'ur. Bishr said: it is the garment worn beneath the outer wrap.
