حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَعُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ حَاضَتْ صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ حُيَىٍّ بَعْدَمَا أَفَاضَتْ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَذَكَرَتْ حَيْضَهَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحَابِسَتُنَا هِيَ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا قَدْ أَفَاضَتْ وَطَافَتْ بِالْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ حَاضَتْ بَعْدَ الْإِفَاضَةِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلْتَنْفِرْ.
English Translation
Hashim told us: Layth told us: Ibn Shihab told me, from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman and Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, that A'isha, wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Safiyyah bint Huyayy menstruated after she had performed the tawaf al-ifadah. A'isha said: So her menstruation was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Is she going to detain us?" She said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, she has already performed the tawaf al-ifadah and circled the House, then menstruated after the ifadah." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Then let her depart with us."
